About me.

I am an academic librarian in New York City. When not staring at a screen, I can be found hanging out with my friends and family, attending concerts, walking around New York City, making stuff with needles and/or hooks, or embarrassing myself on the field/court of some sport (obviously, I wrote all of this pre-pandemic, but I do have hope that, at some point, I can go back to being the weakest link on the volleyball court).

My research interests are trauma-informed library services, Africana studies, open educational resources, equity in education, popular culture, and meaningful representation in media. The last several years have provided me with opportunities to present at education, library-related, and popular culture conferences worldwide, which has been a lovely and unexpected side benefit of both my academic librarian position and continuing graduate and certificate studies.
